best quote heard from a director:

worst apres ski outfit:

goofiest "celebrity" sighting:

biggest lie I told:

(aka Jeff Dowd, the Cohen Brother's muse
for The Big Lebowski) in line at the
Metallica therapy movie making young
fans quote lyrics for a free ticket and then
the next day changing seats in the front
row during Stephen Fry's introductory
speech to The Bright Young Things,
depsite shouts from the audience for him
to sit down!

oh yeah, the best movies:

strangest venue for a screening:

My old alma mater: Park City High
School. I got scolded for being in the
wrong line and then again for not
having my hand properly stamped. It
was just like the good old days of 1988.

funniest overheard film critique:

"It was subtle. Yes, very subtle. [pause]
Well, I guess the only thing that wasn't
subtle were her breasts. Yeah, he [the
director] knew what he was going for
there."

"I've said it before, and it is especially true
in these times: an orgasm is always better
than a bomb."  --Bernardo Bertolucci

Metallica therapy movie (title ?)
They are very funny, those angst ridden
rockers. And also sympathetic. And pathetic.
And very, very rich.

The Good Lawyer's Wife
From South Korea, directed by Im Sangsoo
It should quickly be plagiarized by a smart
American producer. Pictured here is the
lawyer, not with his wife...

The Dreamers
By the great Bertolucci, a gorgeous love
letter to Paris and the youth of 1969. Sexy,
inviting, and beautiful.

We Don't Live Here Anymore
Directed by John Curran. A sombre film in
which Laura Dern frowns an awful lot. Also
with Mark Ruffalo, Peter Krause, and Naomi
Watts. The cast is superb in playing
essentially listless, unlikeable people ruining
each other's lives. But go see it!

Strutting down Main Street in the
balmy 21 degree weather, Nicole
Ritchie wearing a black halter top with
silver beading. I guess the cute little
jacket she wore open over it kept her
nice and toasty.

SB & MC caught whispering at the
closing night party on Main street.

best lovey/dovey picture:

"I love you guys! I'm such a huge
Kings fan!"
For the sole purpose of getting a
photograph with Kings owner Gavin
Maloof (as attempted by his personal
chef who had just cooked us dinner)
so that I could post it here and make a
big spoof out of it. As karma would
have it, the pictures did not come out.
And I didn't get any tickets either.
GO LAKERS!!!!!
